Garlic Parmesan Pork Chops: Easy Recipe With Step by Step Photos
Prep time: 5 minutes (plus oven heating)
Baking time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
Extra virgin olive oil
Shredded Parmesan cheese
Salt
Pepper
Original Mrs. Dash
Chopped garlic (fresh or refrigerated), at least 1 clove
4 boneless pork chops (approx. 1/4 pound each)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line one 13x9 baking pan with aluminum foil. Coat both sides of the pork chops with olive oil. Sprinkle one side of the chops with light amounts of salt, pepper, and Mrs. Dash. Distribute the garlic evenly over the chops. My husband and I love garlic and add a couple extra cloves. Feel free to do the same. Finally, sprinkle the pork chops with Parmesan. It's up to you how much Parmesan you'd like to add. You see how much I usually put on in the picture below. (The pork chop on the right had a big piece of fat on it that I cut off before baking. That's why it's smaller than the others.)
Bake the pork chops for 15 minutes. Flip them and cover the other side with light amounts of salt, pepper, Mrs. Dash, and Parmesan. Bake for another 15 minutes. Cut into one chop to check if they're done. There should not be any pink in the middle. You may need to adjust the cooking time slightly depending on the size of your cuts of meat.
Your pork chops are finished. Enjoy!
There are lots of wonderful sides for pork chops. I often serve them with cheesy orzo (which is a recipe I got from a Rachael Ray cookbook) and steamed broccoli. Twice baked potatoes are a wonderful side, too.
