My beading hubs have been very well received so I'm writing another one. This time I decided to focus on beaded beads. This is not one of my particular fascinations right now like Czech dagger beads are, but it is a widely used technique with many possibilities for jewelry making. I have experimented with a few simple beaded beads and will probably experiment with more in the future. I have included a variety of beaded bead patterns, both for single beads and for projects that included beaded beads. I have also included examples of work with beaded beads. Enjoy and happy beading!

You can find all of the patterns that I reference in this hub by searching "beaded beads pattern" under the Supplies Tab on Etsy.

Please that unless it is specified otherwise, all patterns are: PDFs ONLY, for beginner beadweavers and beyond, and are for personal use only.

Pattern #1: Japanese Screen Seed Bead Bracelet Kit

This listing is for the full kit with beads and wire. The beads included in this particular kit match the third photo in the listing. It is recommended that you have some experience with the peyote stitch before attempting this project. There are numerous color combination possibilities as well as ways to customize the bracelet such as different bead widths.

Pattern #4: Blooming Beads - Volume One

One of Carol's most popular patterns to date is her first set of blooming beads (as of November 2011, Volume 2 is still in the works). It's not hard to see why. This pattern is appropriate for intermediate beaders and beyond, as it requires odd count peyote.

Golden Beadwoven Necklace with Trinity Focal

I included this example in one of my triangle hubs, but it was too perfect not to include it here, too. I love how she combines different beaded beads for this necklace.

Hello there Random Creative! I too am from Wisconsin! Your beadwork is beautiful! I would love to learn how to make any of the above designs. How long does it take you to make one piece?

Love your post and photos : )

Thanks cre8iv! Always nice to meet someone else in Wisconsin. I can't take credit for the beadwork in this hub, but the creators definitely deserve that compliment. Some basic beadweaving knowledge is required for most beaded beads, but once you have some stitches down, basic beads aren't too tricky.

The projects here vary greatly for how long they take to complete. Beadweaving is fairly time intensive so even a simple project typically takes a minimum of 1-2 hours.

Thanks miccimom!

The beaded beads are very beautiful to look at. I don't think I have the patience to learn beadweaving but I do enjoy looking at the designs. Thanks for sharing.

Not everyone does. I certainly don't have the patience for other types of art work, such as wire wrapping. I'm glad that you still enjoy looking at beadweaving!
